Recruitment of Finance Director positions HRS for growth while new aviation professionals continue to strengthen market-leader’s sector expertise

Human Recognition Systems (HRS), a leader in total biometric solutions, has made two new appointments underlining its commitment to growth and strengthening the company’s foothold within the aviation sector. The appointment of a new Finance Director to the management team will also support the business’s expansion into new markets including the oil and gas industry and education sector.

Human Recognition Systems - Paul Casson_LRJoining the business from Silicon Valley’s AOptix Technologies, Paul Casson brings over 20 years experience in the field of biometric identity and entrance control to the role of Business Development Manager. His extensive industry knowledge and expertise will support HRS’s ongoing expansion within the aviation sector. Accustomed to working with a global customer base, Paul will be responsible for seeking out opportunities for overseas expansion and growing HRS’s relationships with key players in the global aviation sector. He will also support the continued deployment within UK airports of the aviation-focused identity management systems that sit within HRS’s MFlow suite.

“I’m delighted to have joined the aviation team at HRS at this very exciting time,” comments Paul. “Having followed HRS’s progress over the past few years, I have seen its MFlow products emerge from smart innovative platforms to mature and robust solutions that have been successfully deployed in major European airports. My focus will now be on increasing awareness of the wide-ranging applications for biometrics and introducing our state-of-the-art technology to a much broader audience.”

Human Recognition Systems - Nigel Seddon_B&W_LRHRS has also appointed Nigel Seddon as Finance Director. With a strong international, commercial and operational background, as well as experience in entrepreneurial technology firms, Nigel is well placed to position HRS for growth. Nigel’s focus will be on creating a platform for expansion via securing investment and finance restructuring. Through strategic investment in infrastructure and assets, Nigel aims to support growth both in the UK and internationally.

“The market potential for HRS’s products is vast,” comments Nigel. “I’m delighted to be joining the business at such a pivotal moment having seen the progress HRS has made over the past decade. HRS’s innovations are bringing genuinely game-changing biometric technology into established markets, such as aviation and construction, as well as new markets like oil and gas and education. My focus will be on ensuring the business is in the strongest possible position to capitalise on emerging opportunities both at home and abroad.”

These latest appointments follow the recent recruitment of Ian Cushion as Marketing Manager and Steve Huckle as Senior Buyer at HRS.

Neil Norman, Founder and Head of Innovation at HRS, comments: “The skills and experience these new team members bring to HRS will be invaluable in helping to continue moving the business forward. As we take the business into the next phase, our focus remains firmly on innovation and bringing to market new ideas and products which will benefit customers to whom managing identity is crucial. These appointments strengthen our industry insight and will support us in identifying new ways in which we can help customers, create efficiencies, strengthen security and, in the case of aviation, improve the experience of passengers.”
